Suzy
Veterinary Assistant/Team Leader
Suzy has been an employee since 1990 at the Deer Park Veterinary
Clinic. She began as a large animal assistant and has worked in all positions
at the clinic. Suzy was raised in Republic, WA. with cattle, horses, dogs,
and cats as a major part of her life: her upbringing is an asset to her
job. She also earned an AA degree at SFCC. She is very
proud of her three sons (Shannon, Laddigo, and Coby) and their families. Her husband Mel raises rodeo bulls.
Her leisure time is spent pleasure riding, camping and caring for her
horses.
Suzy has 7 cats-all adopted from DPVC. She has an Australian Shepherd
named Roy Rogers, and two Lab/Chesapeake's named Beau and Rancher. 2 of
her 3 dogs have been obtained through the clinic. "I've always enjoyed
working at DPVC. The connection shared with animals through my entire
life has been rewarding and fulfilling, so working in a veterinary environment
fits my life-style. Mostly working with wonderful doctors with integrity
and a great staff makes this a perfect place to work!"

Karen
Bookkeeper With 20 years of banking experience and an aversion to hospitals, a veterinary
clinic would be the last place you might expect to find me! However, every
business needs an ex-banker to do their bookkeeping. Looking to go part-time
and stay close to home, I decided to give it a try. That was over 8 years
ago and it's been a great place to work. When I am not dealing with dollars
and cents, our "fur-kid", one Scottish Terrier (terror?),
Piper keeps me plenty busy. |
Laura
Licensed Veterinary Technician/Team Leader
Laura came on board with the clinic in February of 1997. She received
her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from the University of Georgia.
She has been working in the veterinary field since 1983. She lives outside
of Deer Park with her husband, daughter and 2 sons. Laura's pets consist
of 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses, 2 llamas, and a small flock of registered
Polypay sheep.

Amy
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hi, my name is Amy and I am a licensed technician here at Deer Park Veterinary
Clinic. I've been here since 1997 and have worked in the field for 8 1/2
years. If I had to choose any profession to work in, I am glad it is this
one! Every day is so challenging and different. I work in small animal
treatment with a day of large animal thrown in for good measure. I have
two daughters Haley 8, and Paige 8 months. Haley tells me that she wants
to be a veterinarian. She has several animals already, so I guess I will
have to wait and see. I certainly won't be disappointed if that's what
she wants to do. See you at the clinic!

Amanda
Licensed Veterinary Technician
I began working at DPVC through Deer Park High School CRT (community
resource training) program. After working part-time for 2 years I went
to Eastern Wyoming College and enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Program.
I completed 4 semesters at EWC and graduated in 2000 with an AAS degree,
took my board exams and became a Washington State Registered Veterinary
Technician and returned to DPVC. Besides working here at the clinic, I
raise Corriente Cattle, love to team rope and work with horses. I also
enjoy fishing and playing with my best friend, a Rat Terrier/American
Eskimo mix named Tweeder (aka) Greatest Dog in the World. I have been
working at Deer Park Veterinary Clinic for 5 years.

Deni
Office Coordinator
I've been with the DPVC reception team since the beginning of 2001 and
I love it! Greeting you, helping the animals when they are hurt, keeping
them healthy at yearly visits is so rewarding. There's heartache to be
sure and we hope we can make it just a little bit easier for you, but
there are lots of heartwarming times too. I've never worked with such
a dedicated group of people-the doctors are the finest and everyone is
truly motivated to do the best for every patient. I hope you find us a
warm and friendly place to visit. We're here to help-24 hours a day! When
not at work
I am busy being the best mom possible to my two teenage children.
They
are growing up so fast! We have 3 birds; 2 canaries and 1 parakeet and 3 cats-Gramma
Kitty, Lily and Dutchess. Lily and Dutchess are sisters and came to us
this year through the clinic-orphaned barn cats. I enjoy listening to music although no one seems
to appreciate my taste for Frank Sinatra! The staff at the clinic do not
allow me to choose the radio station or the doctors will fall asleep in
surgery! So I have to listen to him on my own time. I enjoy getting together
with friends to stamp, see a movie, or just socialize. See you at the
clinic!

Sam
Large Animal Team Leader
My hobbies are horseback riding and Martial Arts. I own four horses
(Ebony,Corky, Payday, and Hotrod). I also adopted a dog from the clinic
names Honey. I am married to a great guy, his name is "Hank"
and we've been married for 5 years. I have always enjoyed working with
animals and I enjoy helping them feel better. I've been working in "large
animal" here at DPVC since January 2002 and feel very lucky to be
working in a place where the doctors and staff put animal health care
as top priority. I am currently enrolled in a veterinary technician school
learning the in's and out's of veterinary medicine so that I can serve
the clients and patients that visit our veterinary hospital better. See
you in the barn!

Sandy
Pharmacy/Receptionist/Phone
I have been working at DPVC since March of 2002. This
is the most interesting job I've ever had. I love seeing the pets and
their owners that come in to the clinic and being a very small part of
their care. My husband John and I have
two sons, Steve and Danny. Our family enjoys boating, camping, fishing, and hunting.
I have four horses, three dogs,
and .....8 assorted cats, including several adoptee's brought home from
the clinic! Working at DPVC has definitely added to my pet population!
I attended Chico State (Chico, CA), and I graduated
from Shasta Jr. College in Redding, CA. I love spending time with my
horses, and enjoy trail riding and dressage. When I can find time, I also
like to read and do needlework. See you at the clinic!

Lesli
Receptionist
Hello there, I'm Lesli Jo and I'm a receptionist here at the clinic. I'm pictured here with my old friend Clancey. He was
a favorite pet for many years, gone now, but I know he waits for me by
the gates of heaven. I just love working here with all the people and
the clients too. After hours and on my days off, I involve myself with
my husband, home and 3 Cocker Spaniel pals. We are beginning to enjoy
our "empty nest". Our two children are both old enough to vote.
We miss them but the pitter-patter of paws still fills up the lonely times.
I also enjoy crafts, gardening and rodeos. But mostly enjoy summer boat
camping on one of the many lakes in this area. We also enjoy the rodeos.
Wintertime I'll be scrap booking and playing "Bunko". Hope to
see you soon on your next visit!

Alisa
Roaming Assistant
You will find me doing a variety of things here at the Deer Park Veterinary
Clinic: working in the kennels, greeting you at the front reception desk,
or helping you in the exam room. I grew up in Florida, Alabama and Georgia,
attended Auburn University (Alabama), and relocated to Chattaroy 12 years
ago. Until a year ago I was a stay-at-home mom and a client of this wonderful
clinic. Now I can hardly believe I am blessed to be an actual member of
this team! I enjoy spending my free time with my four wonderful and supportive
children, walking our Dobie and Pointer, playing with the family cat,
messing with my Mustang mare, or enjoying the water or the open road.

Geri
Veterinary Assistant/Phone

Hi there! I am happy to have joined the team at DPVC in the summer of
2003! I have lived in Deer Park for 7 years with my 12 year old son and
our various animals (horses, cats, dogs, rabbits and bird). I had worked
in N. Spokane at a small animal practice for the last 7 years and prior
to that, up on the South Hill for 6 years. We enjoy pleasure riding, camping,
fishing, and our animals.

Angela
Roaming Assistant
My name is Angela and I have been a member of the DPVC family since December
of 2003. I began working in the kennel but now work in all aspects of the
clinic including exam rooms, reception, large animal and treatment. My love
of animals began at a young age, growing up with dogs, cats and horses. When
I'm not here at the clinic you would probably find me at the lake fishing
with my husband, Josh or on a trail ride. I have several horses at home which
I really enjoy, as well as 3 dogs, Honey, Merle and Tanner.

Clancy
Reception/Camp Waggin' Tails/Barn Assistant
My name is Clancy. I have been working at the clinic since January 2006. I love it here, the doctors are great and so is all the staff. I have worked in the kennel, the barn and up front in reception or wherever they send me! I live in Clayton with my husband and 3 boys. We breed, train and show Quarter Horses and run an average of about 25 head.

Ronda
Relief Veterinary Assistant I am a transplant from Ohio via Texas. As
a child, I worked with animals in a lot of jobs. My first job was with a breeder,
as kennel help. I went to dog shows with my boss and learned a lot about different
breeds and how to show them. I worked with a veterinarian and saw the downside
of raising dogs. Now I am a retired firefighter and enjoy raising and showing
Standard Poodles in conformation and obedience. My husband and I also have horses,
a trout pond, and cows. Our small ranch always has something going but I still
find time to work part-time. I love all my jobs and don't plan on giving them
up real soon! |

Hauler
This outgoing "Mule Mom" is the curly-haired blonde you'll now find coming to
your home to haul in any sort of animal in for care here at the clinic - (for less than
it costs for a farm call) and return them home again. She is very involved with her
family of mules and is always eager to help with whatever you need. When not hauling,
she is most likely showing, riding, playing with her baby mules in the mountains of
Idaho or Washington.
